Halloween...

Halloween!!! It's been a long time since I last made a pumpkin but this year I decided I might just have too!

Seen below is my pumkin along with my sisters (left) and friends (centre). I feel I may have won on the scary front!

I wonder how many trick or treaters we will have tonight..? Happy Halloween everyone!

Autumns days...

Autumn had well and truly hit us now. Sweet chestnuts have been picked and are ready for roasting!

The mushrooms are springing up everywhere... So delicate and beautiful

The shooting season had now started for me and the dogs. Indie had her first day which was eventful and thoroughly over exciting. Luckily Charlie was there to add some sobriety to the occasion with all his experience...

Such amazing colours...

Indie was so chuffed with herself after a long day... She was later found on my bed clearly believing she had behaved so well she deserved 5* sleeping arrangements! I'm not so sure about this.

To end a lovely weekend we had my mothers birthday which we celebrated with an amazing meal at The Black Swan in Oldstead... A truly amazing pub! Such unique and interesting food.  Below is the Douglas fir ice-cream with a lemon and sheep's milk sorbet, served with a Douglas fir infused dry-ice... Amazing smells!

The best days of her life...

The best days of her life.... Blustery days!

Indie loves nothing more then a blustery day to chase the leaves swirling around the fields...

Desperate for the leaf??

Unfortunately the following photo didn't come out all that well, but you can see her determination to catch each leaf....

Sporting my new Dubarry headband to keep me warm this winter

A lovely day, though there were some casualties to the day unfortunately....

Misty mornings

Misty days so often provide the most beautiful pictures

Hmm, what mischief can be had today, where are those pesky pheasants?

I'm not quite sure why Indie was so interesting....

The years second spring...

Some say Autumn is like a second spring, when every leaf on every plant is in flower....

Though I'm not sure Indie thought too much of the sweet chestnuts.... Guess she won't be joining me in roasting some this winter!

The sunsets at this time of year are always amazing to see...

Natures final farewell to the day painted across the sky's!

Swan lake

Yesterday Indie and I were treated to an amazing display from the local swan family to brighten up a rather dull and wet day.

Mr swan was very keen to show off his rather macho plumage

Whilst Mrs swan was keener to stay with her babies

Who themselves were keen to show off...

Even Indie was entranced by them as they fed... She was probably wishing she was having some breakfast too!

Ladies who lunch...

A cheeky visit with a friend to the world famous Yorkshire tea rooms... Bettys. This resulted in a rather yummy takeaway after a fabulous lunch and hot chocolate on this wet day!

A much needed delicious raspberry macaroon after a blustery autumnal walk with Indie this evening...
She outdid herself this evening, managing to behave the whole way!

Halloween come early...

We had an amazing walk this morning, in what seemed to be a halloween scene with mist and spiders webs covering everything. There was a surprising lack of spiders considering the webs.
